This OSHA and ILCOR-compliant course teaches you how to perform CPR and use an AED for infants, children, and adults, giving you the skills and confidence to act in an emergency.

FAQ's
Do I need to own a firearm to attend?
Not at all! This workshop is designed for both experienced firearm owners AND those who are just getting started and may not own a gun yet. We provide safe, hands-on instruction using unloaded training weapons and models so you can learn in a controlled, pressure-free environment. We have gun rentals available - you can sign up for this at the door.
Is this workshop just for people with a concealed carry permit?
Nope! Whether you already have your Rhode Island CCW, are thinking about getting one, or just want to be safer around firearms—this workshop is for you. We cover principles that are essential for everyone, regardless of permit status.
Will there be live fire or shooting at this event?
Yes, If you do not own a firearm we have rentals available.
I’m nervous around guns… is that okay?
YES—and that’s exactly why this workshop exists. Many attendees feel anxious or uncertain around firearms at first. You’ll be in a supportive, judgment-free space with instructors who specialize in helping people go from nervous to confident.
What should I bring?
If you have your own firearm and are comfortable bringing it (unloaded and cased), you’re welcome to, but it’s not required. Eye and ear protection are a must, and if you don’t have your own, we’ve got you covered with rentals. Discounted eye and ear protection packages are available for purchase. You’ll also need ammunition for the class.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring someone who would benefit—especially if it helps you feel more comfortable. Just make sure they reserve their spot too!
Will I get a certificate or credit for this class?
While this workshop is for educational and empowerment purposes (not a certification course), you will receive a Certificate of Completion that may count toward some training requirements, depending on your CCW instructor or range.
